V5 Battery Connector - DavidBuchanan - 01-31-2019 I see there is a battery connector on the main board. What input voltage range is it tolerant of? And what is the pinout? + and - are marked on either side, but there are three pins - what's the third one for? I assume batteries will need to be charged externally? Or is there any onboard charging circuitry? RE: V5 Battery Connector - jonsmirl - 02-05-2019 Here is the datasheet for the PMIC chip: http://files.lindeni.org/lindenis-v5/datasheets/AXP233_Datasheet_V1.0_en.pdf The third pin is normally a thermistor temp sensor inside the battery. The datasheet should allow you to verify. The PMIC can charge the battery. These PMICs are widely used in tablets, phones, etc. All of the AXP PMICs are very similar. The different part numbers are for different numbers of regulators or power on voltages. |
